Starlink is reshaping the way broadband is delivered in rural Devon. By providing access to dependable, high-speed internet, Starlink is transforming the way broadband is delivered in hard to reach areas near Kingsbridge and surrounding villages like East Allington, Aveton Gifford, Hope Cove, Bantham, Bigbury, Modbury and Chillington, for home users, businesses and home-based workers.
Due to the low-latency of a Starlink connection it is suitable for video calling systems like Zoom and FaceTime. It also works with WhatsApp, mobile WiFi calling and Digital Voice/VoIP providers. We have now installed over 350 Starlink systems and have had 100% positive customer satisfaction with the broadband connection.
How our service works:
1. Placing the order – To take advantage of the 2 month free subscription offer, please contact us to place your order – This offer is not available from Starlink directly.
2. Installing your hardware – Starlink requires a clear view of the Northern sky, but depending on the orientation and location of your property, we generally find that there is a suitable place to install the equipment. Our installation service invoices all the brackets, poles and other hardware you need.
The Starlink Version 2 ‘V2’ hardware does not have an ethernet port on the router and comes supplied with a WiFi only connection. You may require an ethernet port to connect your hardware to other networking equipment in your home or business. If this is the case, let us know and we able to supply this for you.
Depending on where your router is located, we may also need to help you install some additional networking equipment to get your internet connection to the right place.
The Starlink monthly service charge is £62.50+VAT (£75.00) and you are not tied into a long-term contract like many of the traditional telecoms providers. Once your new service is up and running you can cancel the broadband element of any existing fixed line services or the entire phone line rental agreement.
Depending on where the dish needs to be mounted a longer cable may be required – the standard cable is 50ft – upgraded 75ft, and 150ft cables are available. Subject to availability, we normally carry these on our vans and are chargeable upgrades.
If you need help with any part of your order, please do not hesitate to give us a call on 01803 501711 – we’ll be happy to talk you through the ordering process over the phone.

Yes, many users have reported that Starlink is suitable for online gaming and high-quality video streaming. The low latency and relatively high speeds make it well-suited for real-time applications like gaming and video conferencing.
Starlink’s high speeds are attributed to several factors:
- Low Earth Orbit (LEO): Starlink satellites operate in low Earth orbit, reducing the distance that data signals need to travel, which leads to lower latency and faster speeds.
- Frequent Satellite Passes: With many satellites in the constellation, there’s a higher chance of a satellite being in range at any given time, resulting in more consistent and reliable speeds.
- Advanced Technology: Starlink satellites use advanced phased-array antennas and laser communication to optimize data transmission, enabling faster and more efficient communication.
Yes, Starlink is faster than traditional satellite internet. Traditional satellite internet has been known for high latency and relatively slow speeds due to the signal having to travel great distances between the Earth and geostationary satellites. Starlink’s low Earth orbit satellites significantly reduce this latency and provide faster speeds.
Starlink promises internet speeds that can range from 75 Mbps to 350 Mbps or more. Starlink aims to continually improve and upgrade its system to enhance the speed and overall performance.
Starlink is a satellite internet constellation being developed by SpaceX to provide high-speed, low-latency internet access to underserved and remote areas around the world. It consists of a network of thousands of small satellites orbiting the Earth.
- Blazing-Fast Speeds: Starlink’s low Earth orbit satellites reduce latency, delivering speeds comparable to or even exceeding traditional wired broadband connections. This is a game-changer for activities like video streaming, online gaming, and data-intensive work tasks.
- Reliability: Traditional internet services in rural areas are susceptible to outages due to weather conditions or infrastructure issues. Starlink’s satellite network is designed to provide a consistent connection, unaffected by terrestrial challenges.
- Total coverage: Whether you’re nestled in the heart of the rural South Hams or perched on a hillside above Slapton, Starlink’s satellites can reach you. This global coverage ensures that you’re never limited by your geographic location.
