We can supply and install your Starlink satellite dish in Paignton and get you online
Devon Comms Ltd. are proud to announce that we are the first Authorised Starlink Installers in Devon and one of the first in the UK.
Devon was among the initial regions worldwide to gain access to the novel Starlink broadband internet service. Subsequently, this service was extended to encompass the entirety of the Westcountry.
Starlink holds the potential to revolutionise how rural areas connect to the internet, offering impressive speeds of up to 400Mbps for downloads and over 20Mbps for uploads. Running a home-based business or conducting remote work from even the most secluded locations near Paignton, such as Galmpton, Marldon, Stoke Gabriel, Churston Ferrers, Collaton St Mary, Goodrington, Broadsands, Kingswear, and other areas across Torbay, is now a viable possibility.
Due to the low-latency of a Starlink connection it is suitable for video calling systems like Zoom and FaceTime. It also works with WhatsApp, mobile WiFi calling and Digital Voice/VoIP providers. We have now installed over 1000 Starlink systems and have had 100% positive customer satisfaction with the broadband connection.

How our service works:
1. Placing the order – Starlink are now offering a free dish and router kit when you are commit to a 12-month term and purchase directly from them. Please order your kit online at www.starlink.com and then call us with your order reference number so we can get you booked in for the installation.
If you need any help ordering Starlink from their website, please give us a call and one of the team will be more than happy to guide you through the process. As authorised Starlink installers we have dedicated support with the Starlink team at SpaceX.
If you need your Starlink installing more quickly, our engineers do carry limited stock. If we supply your kit, you will pay the Standard kit price of £249+VAT (£299.00) but you are not tied into a minimum 12-month term and can cancel your plan at anytime.
2. Booking your installation – To book your installation please either call on 01803 501711 or fill in the ‘Request an appointment’ form on this page.
3. Installing your hardware – Starlink requires a clear view of the Northern sky, but depending on the orientation and location of your property, we generally find that there is a suitable place to install the equipment. Our installation service invoices all the brackets, poles and other hardware you need.
The Starlink Version 2 ‘V2’ hardware does not have an ethernet port on the router and comes supplied with a WiFi only connection. You may require an ethernet port to connect your hardware to other networking equipment in your home or business. If this is the case, let us know and we able to supply this for you.
The new Starlink Gen3 /V4 kit does have two ethernet ports on the Starlink WiFi router, but requires an extra adaptor to mount the dish that has to be purchased separately.
Depending on where your router is located, we may also need to help you install some additional networking equipment to get your internet connection to the right place.
The Starlink monthly service charge is £75.00 inc VAT – payable directly to Starlink. Once your new service is up and running you can cancel the broadband element of any existing fixed line services or your entire phone line rental agreement.
Depending on where the dish needs to be mounted a longer cable may be required – the standard cable is 50ft – upgraded 75ft, and 150ft cables are available. Subject to availability, we normally carry these on our vans and are chargeable upgrades.
We also install 5G and 4G broadband. Visit devoncomms.co.uk/4g-5g for more details.
Starlink Residential Lite
Starlink Residential Lite is available in Devon, bringing a more affordable satellite broadband option to rural homes and businesses that struggle with slow or unreliable internet connections. It is a practical choice for areas where fibre and fixed line broadband simply are not available.
This new Residential Lite package offers typical download speeds of 80 to 200 Mbps and upload speeds of 15 to 35 Mbps, making it suitable for everyday online activities such as streaming, video calls, browsing and working from home. Unlimited data is included, although speeds can vary during busier periods when the network is under higher demand.
Residential Lite is priced lower than the standard Starlink Residential service, making it a strong option for anyone looking to keep costs down while still benefiting from fast and dependable rural broadband. There are no long term commitments, so you can stop the service whenever you choose.
For remote properties throughout Devon and the wider Westcountry, Starlink Residential Lite offers a flexible and cost effective way to stay connected without relying on traditional broadband infrastructure.
Wireless Connections / WiFi
Starlink is so fast that the connection can be shared with multiple buildings or neighbours as long as you have a line-of-sight to the other location. This means that you can share the connection with other buildings at your location or share the initial Starlink hardware purchase and monthly charge with someone else.
Starlink delivers fantastic broadband speeds. However, as with all broadband connections, they tend to only include an entry level wireless access point with the included router. Ask us about our mesh wireless access points and UniFi network options if you want the very best WiFi connection available – you can also visit our website for more information – https://devoncomms.co.uk/wifi-installation-devon/
Digital Voice (VoIP) Telephone
If you want to cut the cord completely and retain your landline number, we are able to offer you our Digital Voice (VoIP) service. This service includes unlimited calls to UK landline and mobile phones.
Digital Voice service works with a free smartphone app which allows you to make and receive phone calls using a landline number from your mobile phone whenever it has an active internet connection (4G/5G or WiFi) or a from a physical corded or cordless phone system connected to your Starlink router (with ethernet adapter). A voicemail service can be configured to email messages from unanswered phone calls.

New Starlink Business packages now available
Starlink Business now offers an entry level pricing tier at £32.50+VAT (£39.00) per month. This level of service includes 50GB of priority data. Once your data runs out, extra bundles of data are then available to purchase. The next level of service is £82.50+VAT (£99.00) per month and includes 500GB. 1TB is £145.00+VAT (£174.00) and 2TB is £270.00+VAT (£324.00). A static IP address is available with this service.
These services offer a significant discount on the original price of the service and is much better value than leased lines and dedicated ethernet circuits. A major benefit of the Starlink system compared to leased lines is that you’re not tied into a long term contract. Once your hardware is purchased it belongs to you and you can cancel the service at anytime.
