What is the difference between low Earth orbit satellites and traditional satellites?

Low Earth orbit satellites, like those used in Project Kuiper, orbit much closer to the Earth (altitudes of about 590 to 630 km) compared to traditional geostationary satellites (approximately 35,786 km above Earth). The closer proximity results in lower latency and faster communication speeds, improving the quality of internet services.
